The AquaFX Dolphin (Glacial Series) is a premium, high-efficiency Reverse Osmosis system engineered specifically for households and facilities with adequate baseline water pressure that require elite protection against modern municipal disinfectants. It is the perfect application for standard municipal city water setups where boosting pressure and active line monitoring are not required. This system was intentionally designed from the ground up with advanced chloramine removal in mind, utilizing a specialized multi-stage carbon configuration to neutralize complex chemical bonds that standard RO filters leave behind.
This streamlined configuration drops both the mechanical booster pump and the liquid pressure gauge to provide a silent, minimalist, and highly cost-effective filtration solution. It comes equipped with an installed backlit TDS meter for instant water quality verification and an integrated manual flush kit to maximize your membrane's longevity.
Why You Need an AquaFX Dolphin Glacial System
Standard tap and well water are packed with invisible dissolved solids, heavy metals, volatile chemicals, and mineral hardness. Transitioning to ultra-pure RO water is essential for your home, pets, and specialized setups:
- Chloramine & Chlorine Destruction: This system features specialized carbon media explicitly designed to trap, split, and neutralize persistent chloramines and traditional chlorine disinfectants that other standard filters fail to catch.
- Premium Drinking Water & Beverages: This system strips out up to 99% of impurities, heavy metals, chloramines, and micro-contaminants, providing an ultra-clean base for your household. It is phenomenal for making coffee, tea, and crystal-clear ice cubes, allowing the true flavors of your beverages to express themselves without background chemical interference. (Note: Because it removes all minerals, you can add a post-mineralization filter if you prefer a traditional spring-water taste profile).
- Household Pets (Dogs & Cats): Just like humans, your pets benefit from cleaner water. Removing heavy metals, chlorine, chloramines, and contaminants shields their kidneys and urinary tracts from toxin buildup, encouraging better hydration and overall health.
- Reptile Misting Systems: High mineral content in tap water leaves unsightly, stubborn white scale deposits on glass terrariums and clogs delicate automated misting nozzles. This system completely eliminates hard water staining, keeping enclosures pristine and equipment running smoothly.
- Freshwater Fish & Planted Aquariums: Tap water contains wild fluctuations in pH, hardness, and highly toxic disinfectants. Because chloramines do not evaporate out of water naturally like standard chlorine, they pose a lethal threat to aquatic life. This system completely destroys chloramine bonds and removes excess calcium, giving you a safe, blank slate to achieve the exact water chemistry required for delicate freshwater fish like Cichlids, shrimp, and live aquatic plants.
- Hydroponics & Indoor Gardening: Plants rely on precise nutrient absorption. Raw water contains background minerals and harsh disinfectants that kill beneficial root microbes and cause nutrient lockout. Using purified, chloramine-free RO water ensures that every drop of liquid fertilizer you add is fully available to the root system for explosive yields.
- Farm Animals & Livestock: High levels of sulfur, iron, chloramines, or nitrates in well and city water can cause digestive distress and refusal to drink among livestock. Clean, contaminant-free water ensures optimal hydration, better digestion, and improved health for farm animals.
The Dedicated 4-Stage Chloramine-Targeted Process
- Stage 1 — AquaFX 1-Micron Premium Sediment Filter: This acts like an ultra-fine net, catching physical debris floating in your lines—such as rust flakes, dirt, and sand—before it can clog the rest of the system.
- Stage 2 — AquaFX Chloramine Blaster Carbon Filter: Because chloramine is a stubborn combination of chlorine and ammonia, it requires extended contact time to break down. This specialized cartridge target-locks the complex chemical bonds, cracking the ammonia-chlorine link wide open.
- Stage 3 — AquaFX Chloramine Blaster Carbon Filter: A second, consecutive Chloramine Blaster acts as a polished safeguard. This dual-blaster configuration ensures maximum contact time, completely neutralizing any residual chloramine or ammonia breakdown products before they can reach and degrade the delicate RO membrane.
- Stage 4 — AquaFX TFC RO Membrane: The ultimate powerhouse of the system. Safeguarded from harsh disinfectants by the preceding carbon stages, this advanced membrane screens water down to a microscopic level, separating pure water molecules from invisible dissolved solids, heavy metals, and hard calcium. Tailor this stage to your exact needs with customizable options ranging from 50 GPD up to 300 GPD.
Membrane Performance Benchmarks
Please note that all AquaFX membrane flow-rate outputs are factory-rated based on ideal test conditions of 65 PSI water pressure, 77°F (25°C) water temperature, and 250 ppm input TDS over a 24-hour period. Because this unit operates entirely on your standard household line pressure without an artificial pump boost, cooler seasonal water temperatures or lower municipal supply pressure will naturally reduce your pure water output speed.
