Description
The
Blue Tang Media Reactor
provides professional-grade fluidized filtration for saltwater and freshwater aquariums.
Made in the USA
from premium CNC-machined, polished acrylic, it features an efficient up-flow design that keeps media perfectly suspended for maximum contact time. The tool-free submarine-hatch lid ensures a completely secure, airtight seal. With its expanded chamber, this reactor holds more media to reduce routine maintenance and extend service intervals.
Why It Matters for Your Reef or Aquarium
Bulletproof Water Quality: Rapidly strips out algae-fueling phosphates, toxins, and odors before they can stress sensitive livestock.
100% Efficiency: Forces water directly through the media rather than around it, making it vastly more effective than standard filter bags.
Zero Clumping: The continuous up-flow design keeps media loose and active, ensuring you get the absolute most out of every ounce of carbon or GFO.
Better Light Penetration: Removes yellowing compounds to polish your water crystal clear, allowing your lighting spectrum to reach deep corals and plants.
Easy Setup Guide
Place Your Media: Loosen the submarine hatch screws by hand, remove the lid, and add your preferred media (Carbon, GFO, etc.) into the chamber.
Seal the Hatch: Replace the lid and tighten the multi-screw hardware securely by hand. No tools required.
Plumbing the Unit: Attach 1/2" or 3/4" flexible tubing to the hose barb connections. An inline ball valve is recommended on the feed line to precisely control water flow.
Connect the Pump: Submerge your pump or powerhead in the aquarium or sump, connect it to the inlet tubing, and turn it on.
Tune the Flow: Adjust the ball valve until the media is gently tumbling or suspended according to the media manufacturer's instructions.
