Electric Horizontal Float (finger float)

Question

Q: I have a Barracuda RO/DI unit. I have it set up to process water and dump it into a tank. What I want to be able to do is install a cutoff so that when the tank is full, the water is cut off and I don't flood the room. What do I need to accomplish this?

Well you want to be careful here, if you STOP the waste water while the RO unit is making water - then your RO membrane will fail sooner. So this Electronic finger float, with a 1/4" solenoid before the RO membrane would work. So when your bin is full, the float will go up and shut the solenoid (that's before the RO) and the entire unit will stop making all water (product and waste) - until the float is dropped again. That should work fine!! :)
