Q: Well water has 3000 TDS and 1400 ppm chlorine can be filtered through this system?

Q: The description states that the water must be pre-filtered and also dechlorinated before entering the machine. What unit specifically would you recommend to do this? What a water softener be what I would be looking for? I have an aquarium business and I'm using a smaller RODI unit but need to jump to a much larger one. I'm looking for about 200 to 300 gallons per day

A: Yes, is the short answer. You are very close to brackish water. Do you have a complete water analysis, that will determine the type of membrane you need.

In most installation using city water, a carbon tower is sufficient. We recommend the 10x54 carbon tower with Chloramine Blaster Carbon for most customers. We recommend adding a water softener only when you have very hard water or very high TDS. If your usage is 200-300GPD, we would actually recommend our more-affordable Blue Marlin PRO.
